tweaking simplemail profile to copy message.txt or .sqlite messages to Thunderbird.

have installed simplemail on ff 16.0.2
was loving it but google allow only one pop access so when simplemail accessed my mails there, google then didn't allow my TB to download them, so I had to disable simplemail in ff. :-(
there is a way around, I guess. simplemail profile has all my accessed messages in its sqlite database, and also as individual messages message.txt in attachment folders in simplemail profile in ff profile. I can copy relevant messages from simplemail profile to tb profile.
1. I found that it also has individual attachment folders and messages for all the messages that I have already deleted in ff interface.
so, how do I compact the simplemail profile to remove all mails that I have already deleted?
2. the individual messages are .txt files. If these were .eml files I could have directly doubleclicked on .eml files to open them directly within TB and then I could have saved them in TB.
Any method that I can change setting in simplemail to save messages as .eml instead of .txt.
I have already changed the ext of one such message in simplemail profile to .eml, and then it could open directly in TB and could get saved there seemlessly, so I guess there is no problem of standard/ format.
3. or, I can export all simplemail.sqlite messages as individual .eml files and then open and save them to TB.
but sqlite database browser exports messages only as .csv and .sql, and ff's sqlite manager addon exports messages only as .csv, .sql and .xml.
how do I get to export messages as text .eml? any sqlite software doing it? or any software or addon that would convert sqlite exported file to .eml files?
Hoping to get some tips on my this tiny research.
simplemail is just lovely. once I get it running, I would be able to keep TB closed as ff is already open whenever I am on my pc, and I can keep simplemail open in it to access gmail. And then I have to copy only relevant messages to TB for safe keeping for future reference.
only if google had followed standard pop method where any number of pop accesses were allowed.
Thanks.
