My impression is that the polaris star logo in these logos is not straight, and is tipping slightly to the left (or maybe the text tipping slightly in the other direction)

I checked again in Photoshop...
I drawed a straight line from the bottom peak to the top peak and it matched perfectly...
Maybe it's because the star-logo is highlighted from the left side and therefor you got this impression-
I pulled some guides around the logo in FW:
The star is badly cut which makes it look crooked although it is straight (the long bottom torn is cut a few pixels lower on the left side)
I noticed another thing: The text is crooked too.
According to the guides only the P , the A and the S are good on the upper guide while all other letters seem to be 1px lower than the starting letter P (including the A and the S that are starting on the same upper guide as the P but ending 1px below it)
Could be because of the font.
I usually convert my text to paths if this sort of thing is happening and align them to a guide in FW.
Other than that could be a bad cut / selection (mask) edge issue as I see the bottom of the letter "P" cut in a straight line whilst the other letters have semitransparent pixels on their bottom.
Not a major issue, really.
The logo maker should consider adding a dark glow / shadow / whatever would look good on the letters as they disappear on a white background or do another version with dark text.

Can anyone else confirm (or deny) this...
Many thanks

I have popped the original logo beneath your logos to compare.
To me they do not look quite the same....
Wonder what is causing this...

In fact you mean it's not straight and for me it is...
So we got a dilemma until anyone could say something to our problem ;)

Is not the text in the original logo also a little strange (bumpy) ?

i think i have to learn many more things about creating logos out of nearly nothing ;)

keep on making them, you'll get there :D
