Fast Dial - FEBE-Logos-Refreshing-Problems

OK
Backed up working Pale Moon Profile with FEBE
Restored Pale Moon Profile into new Machine.
However in New Machine (computer) everything hangs
The cells are not peopled by screenshots
WTF !!!!
Well it would seem that FD on not discovering the necessary linked to Logo(s) in the new computer simply hangs indefinitely in that cell, while it searches for the non existant Logo.
So in order to get things to work, there is a need to delete the saved Logo link in the properties of each cell with a Logo to get round this problem
(or of course people the memory of the new computer to match exactly the address of the previous Logo)
Maybe there might be a way of resolving this problem in FD
In FD Logo is not found - do X - (post automatically a new FD Logo (for example:"logo not found")) and stop the endless search
If the cell with a Logo was a Folder, and the Logo is also deleted, the original FD folder icon does not re-appear automatically either, maybe this could be enabled if no Logo is seen in Fast Dial (default) ?
Any thoughts, t ?
I know this is a problem to do with changing computers, but it might be good to have an elegant workaround as it is not immediately obvious what is happening ?

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Tue, 03/03/2015 - 00:24I seem to remember somewhere that telega suggested using links to Logos on the Web rather than on the hard drive to avoid this problem
This I understand
My problem is that I could not understand why the whole Fast Dial page would not refresh any cells at all , that is including cells that had never had a logo.
Re: Fast Dial - FEBE-Logos-Refreshing-Problems
Submitted by telega on Tue, 03/03/2015 - 06:02Fast Dial tries to refresh cells by 3 at a time, not all at once. If Logo path in cell is incorrect, the logo doesn't load so it takes 30 seconds for timeout to stop loading a cell. After the timeout, Fast Dial proceeds to the next cell.

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Tue, 03/03/2015 - 07:27My impression is that this did not happen, or that the timeout was much longer than 30 seconds.
It seemed to last for ever.
I would need to reload the profile to check
It was the second cell on the page, the first with a Logo. It kept refreshing for a long long time
I will check
Thanks for the quick feedback
