If you go Tools/Options/Main in Firefox and look at your settings in Startup what are they ?
That is for
When Firefox starts:

There is a post about setting Fast Dial 2.1 as your Home page here should it interest you.

Thanks for the picture of your settings.
I did come across this post here
with someone with the same problem as yourself running these extensions;
Or was that you ?
You could try resetting to default Home page:
But I don't think that this will resolve your problem.

Thanks for the help. Hope there is a solution. It works fine for u?

Yup, that's me.
Thanks for the feedback

I cannot run FD 2, otherwise I would try and reproduce.
Hope there is a solution.
I am sure there will be a solution to this.
---------------------------------------------------------
I came across this post on the Mozillazine Forum: and thought it might interest you.
--------
When I open my default page to about:blank (Fast Dial) I can click on any of my links and then press ALT-HOME and it takes me back to the default home page without any problem.
When I open my default home page to about:blank (Fast Dial) and then use my middle mouse button to open in a new tab; then press ALT-HOME, I get a blank page with no Fast Dial present.
If I press the Home button then it works fine in both scenarios.
ALT-HOME is a normal shortcut for your default home page in Firefox... It is not a function of Fast Dial; however, Fast Dial is not showing up as it should.
That is not consistent and I hope you can see that. Thanks.

pjacobs,
OK, thanks for the explanation. I've updated version 2.1 with the fix, Alt+Home should work fine.
-------------
So in theory at least you should not be getting the problems you are...
-------------
It might prove very useful to see if you can reproduce this problem of yours in a New Firefox Profile with just Fast Dial installed....

Could you try to run Fast Dial on a clean profile (run "firefox -p")?
Home button works fine on my Firefox 3.0.1.

Submitted by mufaa on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 15:01Hmm, tried a reinstall but it looks like the uninstall process did not delete the preference files. Because when i reinstalled the extension, it came load with my previous settings and fast dial bookmarks.
What to do?

This is good news

I am under the impression that your Fast Dial Preferences are stored in your Bookmarks Fast Dial Folder.
So it would appear that if you wish to delete your previous Fast Dial Settings and Bookmarks that you will need to delete the previous Fast Dial sub-folder in your Firefox Bookmarks Menu before you re-install.
