I have tried several times to send an attachment using simple mail. I have tried sending Word documents and PDF documents and neither will open when the recipient receives them. When I try to send an email with an attachment to my hotmail account, which doesn't go through simple mail, I receive the following when I try to open the attachment.
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at 1351311760981%40simplemail.
Please increase SMTP timeout when sending email. Per RFC 2821, 220.127.116.11, it should be 5 minutes. It's OK to time out soon if connection is not established, but once it's established, it should wait up to 5 minutes for the 220.
In fact, an artificial delay before sending initial 220 message is one of practical anti-spam measures, and currently SM can't send to the servers that are using it, such as xwall.
After the release of the new version of Simple Mail I hoped to return back to Firefox (from Opera with its own Emailfunction). But unfortunately I cann receive all my Emails , but connot send any mails . Please fix this bug !!!!!
