Launchy Stuff

Cant find where to put copy and pasted text.
You need first to paste that text you got from the xml generator into a Text editor (Notepad for example) and then "save as" the file into the Chrome Folder.
Be careful not to "save as" launchy.xml.txt
So have file types selected as "All" rather than as "Text" when you "save as" the file.
---
To know where to save the text file launchy.xml:
Click on Launchy Icon/Options and then Launchy.xml.
That gives you the exact location of the Chrome Folder.
---
Once you have saved the file, it is much easier to make further edits to the file in situ using Notepad in Launchy.
Good luck

Right, sussed it, you have to overwrite the previous file, xml file
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
RocketDock
1
C:\Program Files\RocketDock\Rocketdock.exe
Windows Media Player
1
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe
So that all that text/future xml's will end up in the one file, so to speak.

Well yes.
You can actually edit it.
That is simply paste in or write in manually new application modules.

Yes there is only the one launchy.xml file which can be continually modified.
Does everything work OK now ?

Once I had realised that you had to keep overwriting the xml file with new text, plus keeping old text for WMP & RD, it was a breeze.
I was trying to create a NEW file, and it would not work, obviously!

Yes once you get the hang of it, it is quite straightforward.
If you make any new modules that work, please let me know and I will add to
Launchy Modules for Launchy.xml
------------------------
If ever you post Launchy.xml code in a post in this Forum it needs to be surrounded by a little bit of code at the beginning and at the end.
Please go into edit mode if you can for your previous post with code in it (starting you sussed it) and you will see what I have added beginning and end to make the code legible.

Yes that comment about Launchy not working in Vista was posted on Amo.
Seems it was incorrect.
You have proved it.
