Background refresh possible?

Hey, i really like the FastDial Addon but there is one thing it would be really nice to have.
Is it possible to refresh the Background every.. 100Msecs?
I want to set my Desktop as background for Fastdial. So i have to refresh that Background everytime.
Is that possible?
Greetings

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 04:28Hey, The Good Thing in it is, i have now fully Access to my Desktop. Now i can make Screenshots of it, even if games are maximized over it. Now i can play with it.
Do you mean while remaining in Fast Dial ?
I thought you might want to do that
The Desktop will not change a bit. My application Checks if the Mozilla Title is Fast Dial - Mozilla Firefox. If its True, it makes 1 Screenshot. Then my Plugin takes that Screenshot as the Background of Fastdial.
Really ?
So you use this application only for Fast Dial.
Most flattered.... :-)

"Now i can make Screenshots of it, even if games are maximized over it. Now i can play with it."
Was just an Example. I could save it into a Library, so everyone could use it :)

Does that mean that the fast dial background will only see the desktop even when other apps are running.
Are you able to see the other programs running now ?l
Or does that not interest you ?
Is there a choice, desktop only, or desktop only and all other apps , as fast dial background for example ?
Or will you able to switch everything around as you want in multiple layers ?? :-)

I understand...
Useful...
I was wondering how you would overcome that particular question...

okay it would be possbile.
but it would be just a lagparty.
The Background gets Refreshed every 1Second. So, you see every change 1 second later. ;)

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 05:07Please clarify something for me.
Let us say for example that you are in fast dial,
You see the desktop as background.
You see an application running...
Have you worked things out for example that if you click on the now simulated background of fast dial, that you can control a desktop application without leaving fast dial ?

Submitted by tsuyo on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 05:17As already wrote, it would be possible. But it would not have much effect because of the 1Sec Reload. It would be just very slow.

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Mon, 04/05/2010 - 08:11Hey have thought about this...
Click on image of Desktop on Fast Dial background
Remember location of click on screen
invoke windows routine "show desktop" (or something similar)
make an automatic click on the same location on the real Desktop (or application)
do what you have to do in desktop
pause a second
pause (or some other trigger) calls again the show desktop routine which takes you automatically back to firefox/fast dial
it might be slow, but you would know, while you were waiting, that you were the only guy in the world who has his computer running around for him like that, and you would know that it was cool...... :-)
