about:blank doesnt work

Fast Dial worked fine until I updated to version 2.6. Using about:blank as my homepage worked and Fast Dial opened when I opened a new tab. Now after the 2.6 update, nothing works right. I get a blank page when I open a new tab and when I use about:blank as my homepage. Also, for some reason the Fast Dial button has also disappeared and is not in the customize window either. The only way I can access Fadt Dial is through the chrome: link that I found searching your site.

What happened between version 2.5 and 2.6?

Something I forgot to add in the last post... The links in the right click menu and on bookmarks to add them to fast dial are gone also. Yes I'm sure that Fast Dial is still installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that would fix it, but it didn't.

Sorry for triple posting, but I didn't realize there was a beta version 2.7 up at Firefox addons page. I logged on to try installing the 2.5 again and saw the new one. I installed it and it fixed everything so far.

So if anyone runs into this, make an account as mozilla addons page and login to see the beta available.

Hi there,

I had FD version 1.9 installed just 3 weeks or so ago, and I spent some time on setting it up, with different groups, embedded logos and so on, until I had a nice working starting page with several linked groups. Then I installed Version 2.3 - and FD didn't show up anymore. I activated it, deactivated it, installed V2.5 when it was released, and now even V2.8 - but FD don't show up in empty tabs anymore.
When I use the chrome://-Link, only the pages I "add to fd" via context menu show up. Is there a way to get FD working properly again and to restore my settings?

uninstalling and reinstalling usually gets fd to appear in new tabs again..
remember to restart firefox after uninstall and reinstall of fd

and remember not to use FD 2.6, update to 2.8!!

My FD was just updated to 2.6, and now about:blank is just a white blank screen. I'm on a MacBook Pro with Leopard OS, Firefox 3.0.1. FD was working OK just before the update (although I was still trying to figure out a few new things from the last update).

Any ideas about what might have gone wrong?
