For the logos with the mail graphic only, I've made some that look good on dark backgrounds. They're on my photobucket here.

Please upload these in addition to yours as it is basically your work which I've edited.

And BTW, could you tell me what options you usually use in fireworks for the white glows (i.e. width, opacity and softness)

I just try and see what looks good on a black background. It's normally about the default but slightly changed width and opacity - I prefer a lower opacity.

However, if there is a really pixelated logo on black, I sometimes cheat and add a white glow (assuming its been cut out of white) with 100% opacity so it still looks good.

That's not what I did with your mail graphic though - I saved as a jpg so it flattened with white background then cut it out again with magic wand. Tolerance 50 and feather about 15 (I think). This gives a nice glow and also the effect of having slight fade in opacity around the edges, but doesn't work with all images, so you have to use trial and error really.
