The Site Contests are Officially Over!!
It was difficult to decide between the logos once it got down to the last few..but..
We have selected: ONE winner, TWO 2nd Place logos, and THREE 3rd place logos.
As for the favicon contest we have selected: ONE winner, TWO 2nd Place favicons, and TWO 3rd place favicons.
Logo Contest Winners are (drumroll..) :
1st - Soundofemotion - 25 Points!
2nd - Cube, and Grawl - 15 Points each!
3rd - ArkAngel06, Kazeneko, and jotter - 8 Points each!
For the Rest of Participants - 4 Points each!
Favicon Contest Winners are:

The logos which will be used on the site will use their matching favicon..

Submitted by telega on Tue, 07/01/2008 - 13:58I was planning to use favicon also for Fast Dial extension, where it's displayed in Tools > Addons dialog in 32x32 resolution, but now I'm not sure whether this is a good idea, because 32x32 scaled to 16x16 might not look good. Maybe we should accept 16x16. Sorry for the confusion. What do you think?

The inspiration for this came from wanting a favicon that was "reversible", in other words the logo is the same upside-down as it is right-side up. The logo is pixelated, and therefore has a sort of "8-bit" feel to it. It would look a lot better "smoothed out", I'm sure. What do you think?

Submitted by soundofemotion on Sun, 07/06/2008 - 17:05Yeah, it's the easiest way to share files (as opposed to uploading them to an external server). Just copy the file to your web folder and poof!
Shininess available here. Different color shininess and different style of shininess (and also transparent version) available upon request. Feedback is more than welcome!

which font is that btw? or did u do that custom?
after contest is over - may i have a psd? not for commercial purposes! only to personally customize the site with stylish extension...

Submitted by soundofemotion on Sun, 07/06/2008 - 17:27The font is called "Porky's" and is available here. I've modified the "U" and the "L" to fit the favicon concept I had.
I'd be happy to make the source file available for customization. It's a PSP file, and I'm not sure how natively I can export to psp (it has a .psp save option) so we'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
