Changelog - Fast Dial

This is a list of fixes and changes to Fast Dial.
Not every minor change is listed, just the major improvements.

v1.86

Version 1.84:
- Added "Open in" parameter in preferences in "Thumbnails" section
- Several bugs fixed.

Version 1.85:
- Added "Refresh All" menu item to context menu. (Before, browser's "Reload" button was used for the same purpose, but this didn't work for some custom Firefox themes.)
- Fixed: "Add to Fast Dial" didn't work when clicked on a link
- Fixed: Changing thumbnail size in preferences sometimes wasn't applied.
- Added parameter "Hide empty" thumbnails: checkbox in preferences in "Thumbnails" section, beside "Quantity" parameter.

Version 1.86:
- Command button support for Mac OS (not tested)
- Fixed: keyboard shortcuts weren't working till Fast Dial page is displayed for the 1st time.
- Fixed: Opening blank page in a background used to produce broken Fast Dial page layout
- Fixed: popup buttons weren't visible under Firefox 3.0b5pre

Version 1.80:
- Possibility to "nest" Fast Dial pages. Open thumbnail "Properties" window and check "Group" checkbox. Then click on a thumbnail to open a sub-page.

Version 1.82:
- "Category" is renamed to "Group"
- "Set URL" dialog is renamed to "Properties".
- Refresh timeout is now global and is specified in preferences, while each thumbnail has "Refresh" checkbox.
- Possibility to drag-n-drop thumbs between groups. Hold Ctrl key while dragging a thumbnail over a group to drop the thumb into a group (mouse cursor will change to indicate this). You can also drop thumbnail on a "Back" button to move it up, out of current group.
- Possibility to specify background image in Preferences, on Appearance tab.

Version 1.83:
- It's now possible to specify thumbnails size/quantity per group.

Bug fixed: in some cases thumbnails failed to be shown.
Bug fixed: waring messages were output to Error Console when opening Fast Dial preferences window.

Version 1.73:
- Added notice message advising user to change scale mehod if default scale method is used with FF 2.x.
- Zoomed image is now centered vertically.
- Possible value of max load time is now 60.

Version 1.74
- "Add to Fast Dial" menu now adds site to the first empty cell if there's one. Site is added silently, "Set URL" dialog isn't shown.
- Solved conflict with extensions opening popup windows.

Version 1.75:
- When browser "Reload" button is clicked, a confirmation "Refresh all thumbnails?" is shown.
- For drag-n-drop activation image needs to be dragged for at least 10 pixels. This prevents accidental drag-n-drop activation.

Version 1.76:
- "Refresh all thumbnails" confirmation is now shown with "Don't ask next time" checkbox.
- Zoom now is displayed when right mouse button is clicked and held for a moment.
- Fixed error when "loading" icon was disappearing if image color is specified in Preferences > Appearance.

Version 1.77:
- Icons in "Add to Fast Dial" context menu are now resized to 16x16.

Version 1.68:
- Fixed bug when Fast Dial wasn't always added to browser's history
- Changed image loading algorithm, thus it's now possible to create thumbs for sites which were failing previously.

Version 1.69:
- Zoom function (new button on buttons popup)

Version 1.71:
- Left(middle, ...) click in zoom mode opens site. Right-click exits zoom mode.
- A couple of small fixes

Version 1.72:
- Changed Fast Dial context menu: now only its own menu items are shown.
- Fast Dial pages now have title and icon (can be turned off in preferences).
- Fixed bug: previously some errors were occurring if user had dragged thumbnail outside browser window and released it there.

- Fixed: color settings weren't saved
- Fixed: an error arised if quotes were used in a thumbnail title

Version 1.62:
- Added possibility to scale images using userlogos.org server (image is sent to server, scaled there and thumbnail is sent back) for those who has FF 2.x and no Java.
- SeaMonkey 1.x is not supported any more, but 2.x is supported instead.

Version 1.63:
- A small bug with server-scaling fixed

Version 1.53:
- Field "Custom image" is now editable and contains an URL. "Browse" button now puts chosen file URL into it.
- Context menu "Add to Fast Dial" now's working this way: if an image is clicked, then it is assigned as a custom image to an existing site. If a link is clicked, then it's added as a new url. Clicking on a page itself works as in previous versions.

Version 1.54:
- Fixed bug: Thumbnails weren't generated if Java isn't installed on computer
- If Java is not installed or turned off in FF, then "Java is not available" message is shown. In this case you can either uncheck "Use Java" checkbox in Fast Dial preferences, or install Java.
