Looking for a few (3) logos (Completed)

in the end it is best to draw it yourself
acquia.com

font used was Domestos98 Normal (except for the "q" which was traced from the original logo)
the "drop" thing was drawn from scratch.

Because the GIFs were optimised for use on a white background.
It's a shame they didn't include the logo in .AI or .EPS

Yeah, I can see that the logos were meant for a white background, cause I'm having a tough time getting a good "cut-out" off the logo from the white background. I'm using the magic wand tool in Photoshop. I agree, in the end it's best to create yourself and hope to someday get to that point, however I am more of a coder than graphic designer. I admire the work, it's not as easy as it looks. BTW, how do you find the font from a logo?

I use WTF?

Magic wand is no good anyway. Photoshop has better tools than that.
And cleaning a GIF file optimised for use on a specific background is pointless.

When using WTF? it is advised to crop the image until only the letters are left, use the brightness/contrast filter to wipe out any gradients, fills, etc, until you're left with black letters on a white background.

More important than that is the "Make sure letters aren't touching" part.

Also play around with it. If it does no give you the right result on the first try leave some letters out and try again.
