Not compatible with Firefox

I am using Fast Dial version 2.23b1 with Firefox version 3.6.2.
The problem is that when ever i load up Firefox after closing it Fast Dial says it is not compatible with Firefox version 3.6.2. I uninstalled Fast Dial and reinstalled it and it worked for the time i had Firefox up, and then when i closed it and opened it again Fast Dial didn't work. The problem started when i first downloaded the new version of Firefox.
Any help will be much appreciated.

but in your current profile, load in fast dial from amo
but do not restart firefox to install.
close firefox
close computer and restart.
let me know what happens..
what is your virus software ?

I will continue with what you said. and let you know.

so there has to be cause for this problem...

My anti virus software is Norton 360.

One cannot be sure, but I do thing this is a Fast Dial question, as I cannot reproduce.
can you can confirm that everything worked fine in Firefox 3.6.1 ?
If that is the case then we can only check for Norton/Firefox problems related to that Version of Firefox.

Just now I tried re installing it and i couldn't do it at all, it just said straight away when it checked for compatibility that it wasn't compatible with this version of Firefox, If this makes any difference.
But i just installed it again and it has now installed?!
what shall I do now about it? read the threads on Norton?
