Not compatible with Firefox

I am using Fast Dial version 2.23b1 with Firefox version 3.6.2.
The problem is that when ever i load up Firefox after closing it Fast Dial says it is not compatible with Firefox version 3.6.2. I uninstalled Fast Dial and reinstalled it and it worked for the time i had Firefox up, and then when i closed it and opened it again Fast Dial didn't work. The problem started when i first downloaded the new version of Firefox.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I think this must be Norton.
Does Norton 360 force install any firefox extensions ?
did you look to see on your new Profile if there were other extensios in addons besides Fast Dial,
If there are try uninstalling..

I couldn't uninstall the two add-ons it adds but I disabled them and restarted and it didn't work.

It is difficult for me as I do not have Norton.
But it is quite possible that although you disabled the extensions that they would have been force installed again and made active.
You can check for that.
If you see the Norton thread in the link I gave you, you can see what lengths people are going to to try and get round Norton's behaviour.

If the extensions remain disabled through a computer bootup, you could try deleting the file extensions.rdf in your current profile while Firefox is NOT running.
When Firefox reboots it recreates a new extensions.rdf from the installed addons.
Obviously you should try to install fast dial before trying

Submitted by fastdialer321 on Tue, 05/11/2010 - 15:46I do NOT use Norton and I am having the same problem, Fast Dial has compatibility issues with the latest Firefox. It worked just fine until I installed the Firefox update. I have also uninstalled and re-installed Fast dial at least 3 times and everything I re-boot and start my browser, FAST Dial is disabled. I can only get it to work if I go to addons, and choose FIND UPDATES and restart the browser.
I use BitDefender and Webroot Spyware Sweeper on Win7 Pro. Firefox 3.6.3
