No new thumbnails

In the past week I've changed a couple of my Fast Dial pages, and for those new sites, I get a broken image link rather than a thumbnail. One of the new pages is a sub-page of a site I used to have on Fast Dial for which the thumbnail worked with no issues.
Neither of the sites in question have a UserLogo and I really don't want to use a UserLogo for them anyway- I prefer a live thumbnail.
Why has this stopped working and how can I fix it? I'm using v 2.22b with Firefox 3.0.10. I think the problem might have started with the last Firefox update but I'm not sure.

It would help clarify what you mean by broken image link.
Do you have this problem only with some URLs or with all ?
Not sure what is causing your problem, but we should discover the cause.

When I say "broken image link" I mean the thumbnail area is white with a small red dot in the upper right corner, like a broken image would appear when web browsing.

So it is only the loading of the screenshot that is not working.
If you load a Logo instead of the screenshot, does that work I wonder ?
(I am not saying you should do that as a solution, just to get a better idea of what might be happening :-) )
I presume that when you try to refresh the cell when you are online, nothing happens, is that correct ?
Is one also to presume that the cell otherwise works fine when you click on it. In other words it takes you to the correct web page ?
And similarly if you look in Bookmarks/Organise Bookmarks, the bookmarks are being saved to the Fast Dial Folder ?
There are two things we could do for a start
1. See if you can reproduce this same problem in a new Firefox Profile with only Fast Dial running.
2. See if you are getting any errors in the Error Console.
Please let us know what you discover.
For your interest I have found running Version 2.22b in FF 3.0.10, that I am unable to reproduce your problem.

Creating a new profile worked- and since my old profile has been in use for a long time there is probably something corrupted there, so I'm happy enough to start again.
Only one tiny nagging problem, though- the title in the tab bar for Fast Dial in the new profile somehow changed itself to the title of one of my bookmarks rather than "Fast Dial". Any easy way to change it back or should I start again before I begin re-adding extensions to the new profile?

Good.
The Root Folder of Fast Dial is called Fast Dial, and should appear as the name of the Tab when you first open Fast Dial.

Submitted by chiaroscuro on Mon, 05/11/2009 - 12:02Before you junk your old Profile, it is of course worth bearing in mind that your problem may have been caused by an extension conflict.
Please let us know if when you have completed your new Profile and loaded all extensions, that everything still continues to work OK.
