No new thumbnails

In the past week I've changed a couple of my Fast Dial pages, and for those new sites, I get a broken image link rather than a thumbnail. One of the new pages is a sub-page of a site I used to have on Fast Dial for which the thumbnail worked with no issues.
Neither of the sites in question have a UserLogo and I really don't want to use a UserLogo for them anyway- I prefer a live thumbnail.
Why has this stopped working and how can I fix it? I'm using v 2.22b with Firefox 3.0.10. I think the problem might have started with the last Firefox update but I'm not sure.

Submitted by Lili (not verified) on Mon, 05/11/2009 - 12:32I'll be keeping the old profile around until I'm sure I'm not missing anything...it had been in use since before FF2 was released, so had a lot of extraneous junk.
I've installed all the extensions that I was still using (again, tons of extraneous junk in the old profile), plus my bookmarks, history, passwords, prefs, and cookies into the new profile. Everything is still working perfectly.
I'm going to delete the image of the original issue from my Photobucket account for privacy reasons.
Thanks so much for your help, this is a wonderful extension- I'd probably have switched to Opera if it were not available as I find it so useful.

Back to square one. :-(

Submitted by Lili (not verified) on Mon, 05/11/2009 - 15:00I am rather at a loss to define "search plugin"- you are aware that Firefox has a search bar? And one can add different search engines to that search bar by clicking "manage search engines" in a pull-down menu in that search bar?
Actually Fast Dial adds a search engine for UserLogos as part of its installation, so it does seem quite surprising that you'd be unfamiliar with that feature.
Fast Dial was working perfectly until I restored a backup of these search plugins from my old profile. Now I get the broken image link in every cell that is set to refresh.

I currently have 23 search engines loaded.
But I do not have your problem.
How many search engines are you running ?
Any chance you give me a list of them ?
This is most strange...
can you I wonder remove your search engines again, and then try adding one at a time.

They are:

eBay Ireland
Facebook
Thesaurus.com
Urbandictionary.com
UserLogos
Wikipedia
YouTube Video Search
As I have determined that this file is obviously causing the problem on my computer (regardless of whether this is reproducible on your computer) it seems most logical to create another new profile, use FEBE to back up everything on this profile except the search plugins, and see if that fixes the issue. I'll report back to let you know.

So all newly loaded, (not default) search engines/plugins are stored in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox Profile.
