Whenever I open a new tab, it comes up blank, but then when I type an address in and hit enter, nothing happens. I have to keep going to google & typing in the address, then clicking on the link to get it to work. Help?

I am a little unclear in your description if when you use the word Tab, if you are referring to the appearance of Fast Dial in a New Tab or to the functioning of your cells in Fast Dial.

Please can you help clarify this.

Regarding Tabs

There are different settings regarding Tabs.
In Tools/Options/Tabs have you got setting to never hiding the Tabs.
There is also the setting
When I open a Link in a New Tab switch to it immediately
Have you got that selected

In Fast Dial there are also two settings in Preferences regarding New Tab.

Open in New Tab

and show Fast Dial in New tabs.
Have you got those set?

If you click on the Fast Dial Toolbar Button on the Toolbar, or you go Ctrl T, does the Root Folder of Fast Dial appear ?

Not clear either from your description whether you are unable to enter and save a URL into the URL field of the Properties Menu of a cell, or whether you are referring to the functioning of the Address Bar in Firefox

Regarding your Fast Dial, I am unclear if it appears when you open Firefox or not, and whether you have access to the Root Folder and the cells in Fast Dial or not.

By the way which Version of Fast Dial you using ?

Umm I'm not referring to cells. Like you know how you can open tabs at the top of the page so you can switch between different sites without opening a new window? Those. So if I hit ctrl + T, and then type the address in the bar, it won't take me to the site. It just keeps refreshing blank. I have to go to google and type it in (i have the search engine in the toolbar at the top), and then click on the website when it comes up searched on google. Umm I have version 2.9 My friend sent me it lol
