Fast Dial icon(button) has disappeared in Google toolbar

I have noticed that several other people have the same problem.I use Firefox 3.6 and fast Dial2.23b2. The icon on the toolbar has disappeared and I can't seem to get it back. I read that someone also posted the same problem but the solution didn't seem to work for me. Also when I open a new tab it used to open in fast Dial but doesn't anymore. Does anyone know how I would fix this problem?

Please try Loading Fast Dial into a new Firefox Profile and see if it works on its own.

Try right clicking on the toolbar and then go customise.

See if you can then find the FD toolbar Icon and drag it back on the toolbar.

I was having same problem and did exactly what you said and it worked perfect.....as a matter of fact I put the icon in a better spot and even happier. I would never have looked for it in the customize space....wonder what else is hiding there..LOL.. Thanks so much
