There is a very useful Firefox Extension called Tab Mix Plus

However the Tab Display Options in Tab Mix Plus can effect the Tab Display Settings in Fast Dial 1.x.

Especially relating to the display of the words about:blank

In Fast Dial Version 1.x on the Preferences/General Page there is this option to show "Tab Icon & Title" (or not).

Similarly in Tab Mix Plus there is the option to show "Use Bookmarks Name as Tab Title" (or not).

Below is shown the result of the interplay of these two settings on the Tab Display in Fast Dial.
