Help! No Icons or Previews!

I went from FD v2.11 to 2.14 recently and lost the ability to get previews and icons. I downgraded, wiped the install and reinstalled. I disabled all the other extensions I have. I reinstalled firefox, java, restarted my computer.

This is what it gives me now:

I don't know if this helps or not, but the option to "use java for image scaling" or whatever is greyed out.

I really like this extension, it lets me clear up bookmark bar space. i don't want to go back to using the bookmark bar :(

What happens if you hit the Firefox refresh page button while in Fast Dial 2.14 ?

Do any cells appear ?

Nope, nothing appears when i hit refresh or click "refresh all" or go through and click "refresh" on each of them

have you tried hitting defaults in preferences to reset defaults ?

Don't know if this helps diagnose, but apparently I can no longer change the properties. I just tried to remove the image i had preset from the properties box and when I recheck it its still there.

This sounds bad.
I had a similar problem and just started again in a new profile.

Tell me what happens when you simply load 2.11 onto your present setup, does it come to life ?

Sounds like maybe it is the only thing to do.

If you do load 2.14 into a new Profile, please read this:

How to Install Fast Dial v 2.14 in a New Firefox Profile

Please let us know how you get on.

Tried it, went through your steps, and I still either get an infinitly long "loading" image or what appears to be an error image (blank with a small ripped piece of a paper in upper left).

Looks like i'll just be uninstalling this one and moving on. Maybe in a future release it will fix whatever is causing it not to generate images.

What is happening ?
You should not be getting this.

You are now in a New Profile loading 2.14 into 3.0.3 ?

Are you downloading the 2.14 from this site ?

There are no pictures to load.

Did you set up the root as in the description.

Otherwise there is a blank screen.

Have you a picture ?
