A whole number of users have reported all the same symptom

Why I wonder is this happening.

There have been too many reports to believe that all these users have suddenly lost Java on their machines.

If anyone has any further details, like errors, please post in this thread.

For the moment I tend to believe that this is a FD Bug

This would tend to suggest that base64 conversion is not working for some reason and this is upsetting the refresh process.

The question is being looked into.

The problem has been revealed

Fast Dial 2.14 Java scaling works fine with Java JRE 6u3

Fast Dial 2.14 Java scaling does not work with Java JRE 6u10 ( the latest Version of Java)

It is not at the moment clear what interim versions work and don't work.
My own suspicion is that it is only 6u10 that is causing problems, but this may prove not to be the case.

As soon as a fix is found to this question I will post here.
