This sounds very interesting.
If you are including this option do you not think that this is a good moment to include, if it is not too much bother, the option to centre the background image.
Saves having to resize the background to fit...
Do you think there would be any value in having a refresh or not refresh option in each Appearance folder.
This would effect the global refresh command.
In this way one could with the global refresh command refresh folders selectively.
>appearance settings will be stored as bookmark annotation (Firefox 3 allows storing arbitrary data related to a bookmark)<
This sound a bit ominous, is the new Version going to work in Firefox 2 I wonder ? :-)
background styling field would be nice (modify repeat, and position)
what would be even better is having an opacity slider near the color chooser in cell properties :)
folder refresh - i think selective folder refresh could be done by selecting "refresh" on all the cells withing the folder.. (if i understand correctly)
note: i believe FD2 is for Firefox 3 only
i think there is no reason not to upgrade to firefox3, its better than v2 in every way =]

Thanks for that.
In fact I also use the left click to open in current tab.
But you know the reason I like the Fast Dial Button is that I know that when I click on it I am going to get Fast Dial and nothing else.
Like how a shortcut works in Windows.
So it is really good to see the the Button there when there are all those tabs flying around, and to know that Fast Dial is there ready to be accessed immediately if necessary.
I also happen to like the design and the colours..

I can't disagree with you there. :-)

Yes exactly, by being able to select or deselect refresh for all the cells in the folder.
The main difficulty I have in fact is with global refresh. If it is selected in error then one cannot stop it, and Firefox has to be closed by force.
An alternative would be to have the option in
Preferences to remove Global Refresh entirely from the Fast Dial context menu.

Re: Suggestion: Search function
Submitted by chiaroscuro on Thu, 07/03/2008 - 00:31I agree with previous affirmative comments to this
How else would you open a new Fast Dial Tab with centre click without this button ?
Re: Suggestion: Search function
Submitted by gumanov on Wed, 07/02/2008 - 21:11r u talking about the fd toolbar button?
well if u have the setting:
"Thumbnails in new tabs" - checkmarked in the FD settings
- and have a "new tab" button in the toolbar - you wouldnt need the center button to open fd..
is this what u meant?

This sounds interesting.
I am not familiar with styling fields, what would the options you mention allow one to do ?
Re: Suggestion: Search function
Submitted by gumanov on Thu, 07/03/2008 - 10:49well, it doesnt necessarily need to be a field. just some way of modifying the background position, and repeat setting (for tiled backgrounds)
if it were a field, one could just use CSS
ex:
background-repeat: no-repeat;
or
background-position: top left;
Re: Suggestion: Search function
Submitted by chiaroscuro on Fri, 07/04/2008 - 15:25Thank you
So this improves the ability to modify the background settings.
Sounds like a good idea.
I agree.
