is this a bug on their part - or did firefox 2 users finally recieve a "firefox 3 is out" message?

Well maybe...
But this increase has been very sudden.
Even in the middle of the Firefox 3 download extravaganza, figures anywhere near this level of magnitude were never seen on AMO.
Strange...

Looks like it might have been an AMO error after all.
Fast Dial has just had 4 Million downloads removed from download total.
Things are back to normal again...

I have Googled this and can find no information at all.
Fast Dial had 4 Million downloads in a day, a week or so ago
These were then removed from Fast Dial total downloads by AMO.
Then Mozilla was under repair
A few days ago Fast Dial weekly downloads were at 91,500
Now they have risen to over a million.
What I wonder is one to make of all this...
All other Popular extensions are experiencing similar increases.
Seems like a repeat performance...
