Here is the theme I use for my Fast Dial here in Showcase.
Opacity set to 1, 10 on mouseover.
Margin doesn't change.
Mouseover is shown here over the last.fm logo
I haven't uploaded the logos here, so if you would like one, or any other logo in that style, please just ask.

Yes this is most tiresome at the moment.
Seems linked in some way to the traffic on the site.
Don't give up though, there are times that it works fine.:-)
