Loading of Fast Dial in Firefox - Bitdefender
fastdialer321 Tue, 05/11/2010 - 17:06
I do NOT use Norton and I am having the same problem,
Fast Dial has compatibility issues with the latest Firefox.
It worked just fine until I installed the Firefox update.
I have also uninstalled and re-installed Fast dial at least 3 times and everything I re-boot and start my browser, FAST Dial is disabled.
I can only get it to work if I go to addons, and choose FIND UPDATES and restart the browser.
I use BitDefender and Webroot Spyware Sweeper on Win7 Pro. Firefox 3.6.3

You do not state which Version of Firefox you are using.
I am using Ver 3.6.3 with no problems
Please have a look at this thread from another Bitdefender user.
This has worked for some.
Load Fast Dial.
Do NOT restart Firefox.
Close computer and reboot...

I really think this is a bitdefender problem, as it is also a Norton problem.
Have you approached Bitdefender about this ?
From this thread it would appear that Norton have not found a solution to the problem
Please let me know what you discover

No, I did not, since I am experienced with BD support. It is absolutely useless. My last support ticket from 11/2009 ist still not solved.

Hi, I am in mail contact with an official support member.
Obviously BD considers this problem serious.
I have provided all information they had requested.
The first two workarounds did not work.
Waiting for answer ...

This is really good news.
Good work !
It would seem that maybe BD will sort their problem quicker than Norton does.
Let us see..
I am watching the thread with great interest.... :-)
