Sorry for being impatient but i wasn't sure that anyone had read the post...so i tried making an icon on my own...
I worked on the desired image in 'paint', to sharpen the outlines and whiten the background...Here is the result...

Since i am using white background on my fast dial page too, hence the problem is not apparent, but how to bring in the transparency effect...
Is there any tutorial available, or some tips on the same...I tried looking googling it but the results showing were mostly for specific softwares...

Kindly advice...
