Suggestion: Search function

for next version of fast dial,
instead of the link "Find Logo.." leading to userlogos.org/search/node/keyword

what do u think about having it lead to:
userlogos.org/logos/new?filter0=keyword

make sure u saved the file - and restarted firefox..

when it searches - look at url address

Do you mean there must be a possibility to load/save theme?

I'm thinking that appearance tab should allow to specify: a) bg color/image for page b) color/bg color/border/opacity/corner-radius for cells c) color/bg color/border/ for group(folder) cells. What do you think - will this be enough or styling possibility to style individual cells is needed?

theme - is it possible to have this function? load/save themes?
would the extensions.fastdial.theme option get too long?

appearance tab - those are perfect! i doubt individual style will be necessary..

I plan to have appearance settings on per-folder basis, so that each folder can have its own background image. As bookmarks in Fast Dial 2 will be stored in Firefox bookmarks, appearance settings will be stored as bookmark annotation (Firefox 3 allows storing arbitrary data related to a bookmark).

All,

In FD2 it's possible to open FD page using "Home" toolbar button (in case home page is set to "about:blank"). Do you think separate FD toolbar button is still needed?

I think yes, even though I set FD as my homepage, which made the New Tab button, and the FD button pointless, I know some people that like using the button.

FD2 is coming out? Thats pretty cool

i agree with dk00111 - i use the buttom myself.

my homepage is google... and FD shows in blank tabs - so i use the button sometimes instead of opening new tab

I wonder, (BTW, I am not at all sure that I have understood you correctly) , if it might be possible to include opacity and corner radius as an option for group cells.

Also curious to know too if there will be a simpler way of entering the choice "transparent" as an option in color.

Or are you simply going to use opacity to achieve transparency ?
