Fast Dial has gone blank all of a sudden

Today when I clicked my home page all I saw was a blank screen and this URL in the address field
chrome://fastdial/content/fastdial.html
I'm using Firefox; why is Chrome: in the URL?
The options fields are all blank, all my settings are gone and I didn't change a thing.
What happened?? Can I recover my settings?

Submitted by Snapafun on Sat, 06/25/2011 - 04:57Me to. Only this happened when I updated to FF5. Here it says compatible with FF4 FF5 FF6 so I'm not sure what's happened. None of the settings under option stick - all remain blank after closing then re-opening the options dialogue. As to my personal settings, until FD works here I can't comment on that.
Any suggestions anyone?
NB. FD itself also updated - something I allow with the ask option in FF - so I guess I have the latest - 3.4 noted.
Running FF5 on Windows7 Home Premium - everything up to date.

I newer think about fast dial, it was working and working. but now i now, fast dial is the best addon in firefox. my way to surf on internet is destroyed whit the update F5. fast dial is not working and i can not surf whit it. i am helpless. plz update a working version
thx for the autor of fast dial. it was the best way to surf fast and dial easy ;)

If anyone else needs to do this then you can still get FF4.0.1 here

Submitted by Snapafun on Thu, 06/30/2011 - 06:23Followed dk00111 advise and gave the beta a look - works fine so far, all Fast Dial working including transparency and I like the slightly more modern look. Thanks for putting up with my rants - I'm now back working with FF and I'll be patient for the other addons awaiting to be updated.
