I have been using the Fast Dial for some time now

Which Fast Dial Version are you running at the moment ?

It just wont show up on the toolbar.

If you right click the toolbar and select customise.

Is there then any sign of the Fast Dial toolbar in the Customise Toolbar window ?

If there is, please drag and drop the toolbar button on to the toolbar.

Or is there no sign of the Fast Dial Toolbar button in the Customise Toolbar window either?

Or are you I wonder referring to the previous Fast Dial Tab Bar icon ?

I cant get it to open, was working just fine. Then it just disappeared off the browser. The folder is still in my bookmarks. If I uninstall and re-install will it loose the links?

I would strongly recommend that you install FEBE
This will allow you to make a complete Firefox profile backup easily and often.
In that way you are protected.

There should in theory be no problem in uninstalling and re-installing Fast Dial 2.23 anyway, but it is better always to have a backup.

Please go to the Fast Folder in Organise Bookmarks and right click on the Fast Dial Folder and in the context menu select Fast Dial make home.
Just to be certain.

Does Fast Dial open if you hit CTRL-T ?

In Preferences/General have you got "Show Fast Dial in new Tabs" selected ?
