Synch FastDial between two computers
notaphysicist Wed, 04/08/2009 - 09:59
I have a desktop pc and a laptop, both running xp. I'm a new user to Fast Dial and I want to synch Fast Dial between the two machines. I use the Delicious Firefox extension for my bookmarks, I don't use Firefox bookmarks. Is there a way for me to utilize Foxmarks and Firefox bookmarks or maybe FEBE to synch up Fast Dial between my machines. Or perhaps run some kind of user profile off a thumbdrive?

Should be no problem with Foxmarks as Foxmarks will synchronise the Fast Dial Folders in Bookmarks, if the name of the Fast Dial Folder is the same in both machines.

I am not familiar with this extension and it's effect on the functioning of Foxmarks.

Well yes that is what Foxmarks does is to synchronise Firefox bookmarks.
maybe FEBE to synch up Fast Dial between my machines
FEBE is an excellent piece of software. But it's role is to backup and restore Firefox Profiles, not to synchronise Bookmarks like Foxmarks does.
Please let us know how you get on,
Many thanks
