Cannot add new fastdials or move existing ones, it forgets them as soon as I open Firefox again

Pretty much as I said above :) I can right click on tabs to add them but they don't actually get added. If I move existing shortcuts they return to their old position.Why might this be>

Submitted by siipikarja on Wed, 12/17/2008 - 07:38I have experienced similar problems. The bookmarked pages don't stay where I put them. I use 3 x 3 size, fixed size and custom icons for the bookmarks. My Fast Dial version is 2.9. When I get Fast Dial in this kind of buggy mode, I can just click the refresh button in the Fast Dial window and it keeps on randomizing the positions of the bookmarks. I believe that this bug has something to do with the fact that you can add more bookmarks in Fast Dial than the dimensions allow. I.e. you can add 10th bookmark to an 3 x 3 array without Fast Dial notifying anything.
Quick solution would be to remove bookmarks until you are sure that all the bookmarks fit in Fast Dial. Hit the refresh button to see if any of these hidden bookmarks keep on popping up. This worked for me at least.

If I open a new tab and browse to a website and then right click on the name and choose 'add to fast dial' I get the pop up box telling me that it's been added but when I open a new tab the shortcuts are all as they were before - nothing was added.
In addition, if I move a shortcut by dragging and dropping it show as being moved on the fast dial window but again, when I open a new tab it resets things to where they were before.
Essentially my fast dial is currently frozen, I can't add new shortcuts or change the existing ones!

Try refreshing using Firefox refresh page, while on the Fast Dial page

Organize your thumbnails and then re-enable the Fixed option
