Hi,
maybe this looks a bit trivial !
...where is the "ackowledge mail reception" checkbox?
I could'nt any longer find it ...!
Nor in the main window (i believe it was somewhere in the upper right corner) nor in the options...!!??
Here, the window manager is icewm as also jwm (i can switch from one to the other)

sorry ...
that checkbox is present in the upper right corner of the NEW mail page;
one has to open a NEW mail after opened the Simple Mail main page.
it was indeed trivial
