“Slow Dial” more like! (I have 3 complaints)

I do love the idea of Fast Dial, in theory — but is it supposed to be so slow?

For me, it takes about 6 seconds for Fast Dial to appear the first time I open a blank tab. After that, it takes about 3 seconds. (This seems to be regardless of how many, or few, sites I have set up on it.)

But isn’t the point of Fast Dial to save you time by giving you quick access to all your favourite sites? Waiting for it to load seems to kinda defeat the object.

Other issues I have…

I found it extremely annoying how the default keyboard shortcut is Alt+numpad. Every time I tried typing any text (like, an apostrophe, using Alt+0146 — or a dash, using Alt+0151), Fast Dial would send me to another website. It took me ages to figure out what was going on. This must be stopped!

Another big problem I have is that you can’t simply add bookmarks to Fast Dial (either by dragging them, or by selecting them from some kind of list), so adding sites is very cumbersome as you have to manually type all the URLs in yourself. IF you right click a bookmark, there is an option that says "add to Fast Dial", but this doesn’t seem to do anything.

These issues aside, it seems like a good add-on. I just really wish it would load a bit faster.

I uninstalled TabMixPlus because it used more screen area, it made tab bar deeper, I only have a 12" screen.

Tab effect does work, but I cant change the options, alot of my extensions do that, but yet I can configure them in tools in toolbar, some work without me being able to change options, is that right?

MildeWideBack clashed with AiOSB and ScreenSplitter

Plus I have a Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan, it has 8 buttons, plus rollerball.

SpeedDial does not clash with FastDial for me.

Do alot of your extensions do that?

Not that many.

Some extensions just have no options
Tab Effect is one of them.

How can I turn of my blinking cursor when I click on screen,

its bugging me.

Also, whenever I do a restart my addon page acts as a popup, how can I turn this off so that it does not popup, or is default?

And why is that window empty? Do not see anything i.e. Addons, Themes, Downloads, Plugins. The only window that pops up is Mr Tech's options.

They are just deluding me, but I am not one to give up.

Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility > "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"
Turn this OFF!

By default, if you hit "Restart" in the addons window, it will show up as a popup on firefox load.
If you restart firefox by closing it, and re-opening, this does not happen.
This is normal behavior for firefox - it is done intentionally.

the one where your addons window is empty?

not sure about this one..
may be an all-in-one sidebar conflict

is it always empty? so u do not have control of your addons?
